2010 – commencement of major joint replacement surgeries, and blueprint setup for comprehensive minimal access surgeries
2011 – Lagoon Hospitals became the first hospital in Sub Saharan Africa to earn the Gold Seal of Approval of the Joint Commission International
2013 – conducted the first metallic replacement of the whole arm bone and joints in Africa
2014 – performed the first open heart surgery in the country and received the JCI re-accreditation
2017 – Group acquired Gold Cross Hospitals
2018 – Group became one of the inaugural players in the healthcare financing initiative of the Medical Credit Fund in Nigeria
2021 – Lagoon Hospitals was acquired by Iwosan Investments Limited, a privately held healthcare asset investment and development company with special focus on the emerging markets in the African healthcare ecosystem.
