Francis Asogwa

Dr Francis Asogwa is a dedicated medical professional with over seventeen years of experience in the healthcare sector, specializing in Preventive Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology. His journey in medicine began with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from the prestigious University of Nigeria Nsukka in 2006, and it has since evolved into a passion in preventing, diagnosing and improving patient care.

He is a Fellow of the West African College of Physicians (FWACP), Fellow Interventional Cardiology and Vascular Intervention (FICVI) of Indraprastha Apollo Hospital New Delhi India and holds a Masters degree in Health Policy and Health Systems from the WHO certified Institute of Health Policy and Health Systems, Ebonyi State University.

He trained at the Alex Ekwueme Federal University Teaching Hospital Abakaliki where he acquired administrative competences as Chief resident in Internal Medicine, Secretary of the Association of Resident Doctors and Secretary of the Nigeria Medical Association, Ebonyi state branch.

He is an active member of the Nigerian Cardiac Society, Faculty of Internal Medicine WACP Nigeria chapter, and the European Society of Cardiology.

He is a Consultant Cardiologist at Iwosan Lagoon Hospitals.
