Dr. Ekwunife obtained his first degree from the College of Medicine, University of Lagos, and completed his residency at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH).

He is a Fellow of the West African College of Surgeons and the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria. He also holds a professional certification in Minimal Access Surgery / Endoscopy.

He is a Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist at Iwosan Lagoon Hospitals.
