Dr. Akintunde obtained his first degree at the University of Ilorin, College of Medicine, Kwara State, Nigeria, and completed his residency at the Delta State Teaching Hospital, Oghara.

He is a qualified Fellow of the West African College of Surgeons and currently serves as a Consultant Radiologist at Iwosan Lagoon Hospitals.
